This small basket is hand-woven using a traditional Cherokee technique known as double-wall or double-weave. Unlike standard baskets, this piece is woven from the base up to the rim, then turned and woven back down to the base. This creates a seamless, reinforced structure with two separate finished designs on the interior and exterior. Together the two walls form a kind of "basket within a basket", from with the Cherokee Double-Walled Basket gets its name.

BASKET CARE INSTRUCTIONS

- DO NOT SUBMERGE IN WATER. If the basket gets damp, allow it to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area to maintain the integrity of the material and prevent mold.
